1. Acceptance of the terms

By creating an account or using WatchLog, you agree to comply with these terms of use as well as all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not accept them, you must not access the platform.

WatchLog is a digital platform dedicated to managing and monitoring watch collections. It allows you to store information, documents, and valuations about your timepieces, subject to the limitations described in these terms.

3. Registration and account

3.1 Conditions for registration

Be at least 16 years old or have the authorisation of a legal representative.
Provide a valid email address and accurate identification information.
Maintain only one personal account per individual.
Choose a strong password and keep it confidential.

3.2 Your responsibilities

Ensure the confidentiality of your login credentials and two-factor codes.
Inform us immediately of any unauthorised use or security incident.
Keep the information in your profile and collection accurate and up to date.
Update your preferences and security settings when necessary.

4. Acceptable use

4.1 Authorised uses

Manage and document your personal watch collection for private purposes.
Store photos, appraisals, and invoices related to your watches.
Export your data for backup or to share with professionals you trust.
Invite other WatchLog users to consult your collection when you choose to.

4.2 Prohibited uses

Use the platform for unlawful commercial activities or unsolicited advertising.
Publish or store content that is illegal, infringing, or violates third-party rights.
Attempt to access accounts, data, or infrastructure that do not belong to you.
Create false profiles, fabricate information, or misrepresent ownership.
Use automated scripts or bots to collect data or overload our services.
Resell, rent, or make the service available to third parties without authorisation.

5. User content and intellectual property

You remain the sole owner of the content and data you upload to WatchLog. By submitting content, you grant WatchLog a non-exclusive licence to use it solely for providing the service.

Store and back up your collection securely within our infrastructure.
Create technical backups and redundancy copies to protect your data.
Analyse aggregated usage to improve features and recommend new services.

6. WatchLog intellectual property

The WatchLog name, visual identity, interface, and software components are the exclusive property of the WatchLog project. They may not be reproduced or used without our prior written consent.

7. Service availability

We aim to ensure permanent access to the platform but may interrupt the service for maintenance, updates, or force majeure. We will take reasonable steps to limit disruptions and notify you when possible.

8. Suspension and termination

8.1 Termination by the user: You may close your account at any time from the settings page. Deleting your account results in the removal of your personal data subject to our legal obligations.

8.2 Suspension by WatchLog: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access in case of breach of these terms, suspected fraud, or behaviour that harms the security of the platform.

9. Liability and warranties

The service is provided “as is”. WatchLog cannot be held responsible for indirect or consequential damages resulting from use of the platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy of valuations or information provided by third parties.

10. Changes to the terms

We may modify these terms to reflect legal or service developments. You will be informed in advance of any substantial change and continuing to use the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or execution falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris.
